MesoTherapy
The MesoTherapy is a minimally invasive procedure of administering micro injections of mainstream or homeopathic medicines, minerals, vitamins and amino acids into targeted problem areas of the body. The microinjections are administered directly into the mesoderm (middle layer of the skin) that is specific to the problem being treated.
The microinjections stimulate the mesoderm to break up the connective tissue fibers that trap fat cells and cellulite, thereby improving circulation and lymphatic drainage. The procedure is used for promoting weight loss, stimulating body contouring and sculpting, and eliminating cellulite in the body.
The DermaWave No-Needle MesoTherapy treatment follows the basic ideas of the MesoTherapy system. However, the DermaWave is a totally non-invasive procedure because instead of microinjections, it uses a machine that delivers specially designed pulses of electrical energy to relieve the congested tissues in the body.
How the DermaWave works
The DermaWave system uses a groundbreaking method called as the Aquaphoresis – which uses specialized electrical waveforms to help reactivate specific physiological actions in tissues that contribute to the formation of cellulite. The physiological actions include heightened blood circulation, microcirculation, and lymph drainage.
The treatment employs a topical solution consisting of an aquaporin water channel to deliver lipolytic ingredients to the fat cells when it is used in combination with specially formulated gels. During the actual treatment, the DermaWave machine delivers a series of specialized electrical currents used in combination with the topical solution that is applied to the surface of the skin using a smooth plastic disc in a rotational motion. You may feel a mild and warm tingling sensation during the session.
A treatment session would last about 20 to 30 minutes and you need from eight to ten sessions to achieve dramatic results. Although the overall results would depend on the extent of the problem being treated, you may begin to see visible results as soon as the fifth or sixth session. The physician would usually recommend scheduling several sessions close to one another during the first part of the treatment series to give the better chances of dramatic results.
The advantages of the DermaWave include no feeling of discomfort during the actual session and no physical symptoms since it does not involve injections. There is no downtime so you can resume your daily activities immediately after the treatment.
After you have achieved the full results of the treatment, maintenance is required to avoid the recurrence of the cellulite problem. A follow-up treatment session with an interval of one to two months combined with diet and exercise are recommended.
